Mycond OXA-440N/620N — side discharge DX units

Mycond OXA-440N and OXA-620N are direct expansion units with horizontal (side) air supply. Mounted on a wall or column, they throw the air up to 24 m along the bay — for buildings where ceiling mounting is impossible.

Mycond OXA-440N side discharge DX unit with horizontal air supply

Why it pays off

  • Cooling 45 and 61.5 kW, heating 50 and 69 kW.
  • Horizontal throw up to 15 and up to 24 m.
  • R410A refrigerant — no boiler room, no water mains.
  • Air flow 6700 and 10 100 m³/h.
  • Wall or column mounting — the ceiling stays free.
  • Flareless pipe connections.

When side discharge is needed

In halls with overhead cranes, ceiling conveyors or continuous racking there is simply nowhere to hang a unit. Side discharge units are installed around the perimeter: the jet runs along the bay and mixes the air through the full depth of the building.

The same approach works in high-bay warehouses with dense racking, where the air has to be pushed along the aisles rather than delivered from above.

Wireless control

Mycond OXA wireless control system with OXA-V terminal and OXA-T2 sensors

What the controller actually adjusts

  • Throw distance — fan speed and vane position set how far the jet travels, from short range to the full 24 m.
  • Capacity per zone — the outdoor unit shares refrigerant by actual demand.
  • Wireless sensors — placed at the far end of the aisle, where the jet has to be still working.
  • One terminal for the whole fleet — up to 1024 units within a 2 km radius.
  • Supervision — Modbus RTU into the BMS, alarm log, smartphone access.
  • Protection — refrigerant pressure and temperature monitoring, phase monitoring, over-voltage and over-current cut-out, soft start.

Where it is used

  • high-bay warehouses with dense racking;
  • halls with overhead cranes and conveyors;
  • sports halls and ice rinks;
  • long, narrow buildings and galleries;
  • sites where ceiling mounting is not permitted.

We size and lay out OXA systems for industrial and logistics facilities across Europe — send the building geometry and the loads, and you get a layout with the units positioned on the plan.

Frequently asked questions about the Mycond OXA-440N/620N

How far does the jet reach?

Up to 15 m for the OXA-440N and up to 24 m for the OXA-620N with stepless speed control.

Is a boiler room required?

No. This is an R410A refrigerant system: an outdoor unit, two copper lines and a condensate drain.

Can it be mixed with ceiling units?

Yes — side discharge and ceiling units can share one control system on the same site.

How many units are needed?

It depends on the building geometry and the heat loss — we prepare the layout with the units positioned on the plan free of charge.
