Mycond OXA-FD — heating unit with fresh air intake

Heating and ventilation in one unit — from full fresh air to full recirculation
Air flow rate: 5400 ... 8200 m³/h

Mycond OXA-FD — heating unit with fresh air intake

Mycond OXA-FD is a ceiling heating unit with a built-in modulating fresh air damper. One machine covers both heating and ventilation: anything from 100% outdoor air to full recirculation, up to 8200 m³/h of supply air — without a single duct run through the hall.

Mycond OXA-FD unit with water coil and fresh air mixing section

Why it pays off

  • Three operating modes controlled automatically by one damper.
  • Supply air 5400–8200 m³/h without ductwork.
  • Outdoor and indoor air are mixed inside the unit, so no cold draughts reach the floor.
  • In mild weather the coil switches off and the unit simply ventilates.
  • Mounting height up to 16 m, noise below 60 dB.
  • Wireless control through the OXA-V terminal and OXA-T2 sensors.

Three modes, one machine

100% fresh air. Full outdoor supply. When the outside temperature is comfortable the controller switches the coil off and the hall is ventilated at no heating cost.

Controlled mixing. Outdoor air is blended with room air and the damper position is set automatically — the hall meets its air change requirement with the minimum energy spent on reheating.

Full recirculation. The outdoor damper closes and the unit only holds the setpoint — for example outside working hours.

Wireless control

What the controller actually adjusts

  • Fresh air damper position — steplessly from full recirculation to 100% outdoor air.
  • Guide vane position — supply angle from a tight downward jet to a wide fan pattern.
  • Fan speed — frequency control across the whole range.
  • Wireless sensors — temperature measured in the working zone, not at the unit.
  • One terminal for the whole fleet — up to 1024 units within a 2 km radius.
  • Protection — phase monitoring, over-voltage and over-current cut-out, anti-freeze, soft start.

Dimensional drawing of the Mycond OXA-FD unit with callouts

Heating output depends on the share of fresh air and the water temperature, so it is calculated per project. DWG drawings are available on request.

Where it is used

Crane bay: outdoor air enters at the top and is blended with room air inside the unit.

  • production areas with welding, painting or dust;
  • logistics terminals with forklift traffic;
  • food and pharmaceutical production;
  • vehicle workshops and service stations;
  • sports halls and public buildings.

Frequently asked questions about the Mycond OXA-FD

Does it replace a supply air unit?

Yes. In 100% fresh air mode it works as a supply unit with heating, delivering up to 8200 m³/h without a duct network.

How does it differ from the OXA-D?

The OXA-D only recirculates. The OXA-FD adds an outdoor air damper and the three operating modes.

Is a duct needed for the outdoor air?

Only a short connection to the external wall or roof — no distribution ductwork inside the hall.

Where does the energy saving come from?

The controller keeps the fresh air share at the minimum the standard requires, and switches the coil off completely in mild weather.
