Mycond OXA-530N/670N — DX refrigerant units

Mycond OXA-530N and OXA-670N are direct expansion indoor units for large spaces. They run with VRF outdoor units on R410A: cooling up to 68 kW, heating up to 75 kW — with no boiler room, no chiller and no water distribution.

Why it pays off

  • Cooling 53 and 68 kW, heating 56 and 75 kW.
  • R410A refrigerant with vapour injection for winter heating.
  • No boiler, no chiller, no water pipework to freeze.
  • Air flow 6900 and 10 100 m³/h.
  • Mounting height 4–19 m, noise below 60 dB.
  • Flareless pipe connections.

When a DX system is the right choice

Direct expansion wins where there is no district heating or no room for a plant. Instead of a boiler, a chiller, pumps, buffers and dozens of metres of pipework there are two copper lines from the outdoor unit to the units under the roof. The system starts up faster and there is no water circuit to protect against freezing.

One outdoor unit serves several indoor units, and the capacity is distributed according to the actual load of each zone — that is what variable refrigerant flow means in practice.

Wireless control

Mycond OXA wireless control system with OXA-V terminal and OXA-T2 sensors

What the controller actually adjusts

  • Capacity per zone — the outdoor unit shares refrigerant between the indoor units by actual demand.
  • Guide vane position — a tight jet down in winter, a wider pattern in summer.
  • Fan speed — frequency control across the whole range.
  • Wireless sensors — temperature read in the working zone.
  • One terminal for the whole fleet — up to 1024 units within a 2 km radius.
  • Protection — refrigerant pressure and temperature monitoring, phase monitoring, over-voltage and over-current cut-out, soft start.

Where it is used

Mycond OXA-N outdoor units installed beside an industrial building

Outdoor units stand next to the wall — inside the building only the indoor units and two copper lines remain.

  • production halls without district heating;
  • retail and exhibition spaces;
  • logistics terminals and warehouses;
  • sports and public buildings;
  • projects commissioned in phases.

We size and lay out OXA systems for industrial and commercial facilities across Europe — send the building data and you get a layout with a quotation.

Frequently asked questions about the Mycond OXA-530N/670N

Is a separate outdoor unit required?

Yes — the units work as part of an R410A VRF system, and one outdoor unit can serve several indoor units.

How does it perform in winter?

Vapour injection keeps the heating capacity up at low outdoor temperatures.

Is a drain needed?

Yes, in cooling mode — a DN32 or DN40 condensate connection.

How does it differ from the OXA-440N/620N?

The 530N/670N blow downwards through a diffuser; the 440N/620N supply air horizontally over distances of up to 24 m.
