Mycond OXA-K — ductless heating and cooling unit

Heating in winter, chilled-water cooling in summer — one ceiling unit
Air flow rate: 6900 ... 10100 m³/h
Cooling capacity: 15 ... 104 kW
Heating capacity: 20 ... 148 kW

Want to buy or have questions?
Mycond OXA-K — ductless heating and cooling unit

Mycond OXA-K keeps a hall comfortable all year from a single ceiling unit: hot water heats it in winter, chilled water from a chiller cools it in summer. Heating output reaches 148 kW, cooling 104 kW, air flow 10 100 m³/h — all without a metre of ductwork.

Mycond OXA-K ceiling unit with water coil for heating and cooling

Why it pays off

  • One machine covers both seasons — no separate cooling system to buy and maintain.
  • Heating 20…148 kW, cooling 15…104 kW from the same coil.
  • Droplet eliminator and condensate tray included for the cooling season.
  • Air flow up to 10 100 m³/h, mounting height 4–23 m.
  • Chilled water schedules 7/12, 8/14 and 10/16 °C.
  • Stepless VAV control of fan speed and supply angle.

Inside the unit

Cutaway of a Mycond OXA unit: axial fan, water coil and swirl diffuser with guide vanes

The layout is shared across the water-based range: axial fan on top, water coil below it, swirl diffuser with adjustable vanes at the bottom. In the OXA-K the same coil carries hot or chilled water, and underneath it sit the droplet eliminator and the condensate tray that keep water out of the airstream.

Compared with radiators and wall heaters

Thermal comparison: radiators heat the roof space, Mycond OXA heats the working zone

Radiators send their heat upwards and leave a cold working zone under a hot roof. The OXA-K drives the air down to floor level, so the temperature is even where people work — and in summer the same unit removes the heat instead of standing idle.

Wireless control

What the controller actually adjusts

  • Guide vane position — a tight jet down to the floor in winter, a wider pattern in summer so cold air does not drop on people.
  • Fan speed — frequency control across the whole range.
  • Wireless sensors — temperature and humidity are measured in the working zone, not next to the unit.
  • One terminal for the whole fleet — up to 1024 units within a 2 km radius, zones and weekly schedules.
  • Supervision — Modbus RTU into the BMS, parameter and alarm log, smartphone access.
  • Protection — phase monitoring, over-voltage and over-current cut-out, anti-freeze, soft start.

Where it is used

Mycond OXA unit in a machine shop, cooled air flowing down to the working zone

Machine shop: in summer the same unit runs on chilled water from the plant chiller.

  • production halls that need heating and cooling from one system;
  • logistics and distribution centres;
  • food and beverage plants;
  • sports and multi-purpose halls;
  • retail and exhibition spaces.

We size and lay out OXA systems for industrial, logistics and sports facilities across Europe — send the building geometry, heat loss and cooling load figures, and you get a unit layout with airflow coverage, a bill of materials and a quotation.

Frequently asked questions about the Mycond OXA-K

What supplies the cooling?

Any chilled water source — a chiller, a reversible heat pump or a process cooling circuit. Performance data are given for 7/12, 8/14 and 10/16 °C.

Where does the condensate go?

Into the built-in tray and out through a DN25 or DN32 male-threaded connection; the droplet eliminator keeps moisture out of the airstream.

How does it differ from the OXA-D?

The OXA-D heats only. The OXA-K has the same casing plus the droplet eliminator and condensate drain, so it can run on chilled water.

Can it be installed at 20 m?

Yes — the OXA-K-II is rated for 4–23 m at up to 10 100 m³/h.
