Mycond OXA-SK — side discharge heating and cooling

Mycond OXA-SK is the side-discharge unit that also runs on chilled water. Mounted on a wall or column, it heats in winter and cools in summer while the ceiling stays free for cranes, lighting and conveyors.

Why it pays off

  • Heating 36…89 kW and cooling 17…79 kW from one casing.
  • Horizontal throw up to 28 m in cooling mode, 26 m in heating.
  • No roof fixings — a bracket on a wall or column carries the unit.
  • Droplet eliminator and condensate tray fitted as standard.
  • Chilled water schedules 7/12, 8/14 and 10/16 °C.
  • Stepless VAV control of speed and throw.

Inside the unit

Cutaway of a Mycond OXA unit: axial fan, water coil and guide vanes

Fan, coil and vane block are shared with the rest of the water-based range. The OXA-SK adds the droplet eliminator and the condensate tray under the coil, so the horizontal jet stays dry even at 7 °C water.

Wireless control

Mycond OXA wireless control system with OXA-V terminal and OXA-T2 sensors

What the controller actually adjusts

  • Guide vane position — in summer the jet is raised so cold air does not fall on people.
  • Fan speed — frequency control across the whole range.
  • Wireless sensors — temperature and humidity read in the working zone.
  • One terminal for the whole fleet — up to 1024 units within a 2 km radius.
  • Supervision — Modbus RTU into the BMS, alarm log, smartphone access.
  • Protection — phase monitoring, over-voltage and over-current cut-out, anti-freeze, soft start.

Where it is used

Mycond OXA side discharge unit in a sports arena with an overhead crane

Sports arena: side mounting, the jet runs along the span instead of dropping onto the court.

  • halls with cranes or ceiling-mounted equipment;
  • sports halls and ice rinks;
  • retail and exhibition spaces;
  • food production areas;
  • long bays where air has to be pushed along, not down.

Frequently asked questions about the Mycond OXA-SK

Does cold air fall on the working zone?

No — in cooling mode the vanes lift the jet, so the cold air mixes under the roof and reaches people already tempered.

What about condensate?

A tray with a threaded drain connection is fitted as standard, together with the droplet eliminator.

Can it work with a heat pump?

Yes — any source that delivers hot or chilled water in the listed ranges, including reversible heat pumps.

How does it differ from the OXA-K?

The OXA-K blows downwards from the ceiling; the OXA-SK sends the air horizontally from a wall or column.
